Bellevue Law hires tenth senior employment law specialist

Susie Al-Qassab has joined Bellevue Law as the tenth lawyer in its stellar employment law practice.

Susie has 15 years’ experience in private practice, including most recently as a Partner and Head of Department at Hodge Jones & Allen. She advises both individuals and organisations.

Susie advises senior managers, professionals and C-suite executives over a wide range of issues and sectors (financial services, media and advertising, professional services, education and the public sector) with a focus on helping them to resolve and settle disputes.

She has particular expertise and an exemplary track record acting for under-represented groups in internal procedures and litigation, tackling all areas of discrimination at the highest level of private business, educational institutions and the public sector.

Susie also helps businesses deal with challenging HR issues, including workplace investigations, complex grievances/disciplinaries, reorganisations and Tribunal litigation.

She has recently conducted several high-profile investigations into allegations of workplace sexual harassment and bullying, reporting/presenting her findings and recommendations to the board and consulting on next steps.

Susie said: “Bellevue Law is an exceptional firm and a premier choice for an employment lawyer who wants to do great work for both employers and executives in a bespoke way at accessible rates. I’m looking forward to working together with the amazing team that Florence has assembled.”

Florence Brocklesby, founder of Bellevue Law says of Susie’s appointment: “Susie clearly has a great amount of experience and expertise to offer our employment law clients, and is a perfect fit for our ethos of providing great technical advice with a practical and human touch - I’m so glad that she chose to join us. She’ll also forever be known as the person who took our employment law team into double digits.”

Bellevue Law is listed in both Legal 500 and Chambers as a leading employment law firm.

The firm was also awarded “Highly Commended” at this year’s The Lawyer Awards.

Susie is ranked in Chambers & Partners 2022 for her work with employees and unions.

She has been a regular contributor to Radio 4’s Money Box advising listeners on their rights and giving practical advice to deal with non-compliant employers.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Susie was a senior manager at Procter & Gamble in Geneva.
