Bellevue Law has hired its tenth lawyer and fourth disputes specialist, Laura Brierly. Laura previously spent over a decade at Magic Circle law firm Allen & Overy and subsequently worked as a legal expert supporting the independent third-party review of complaints about RBS’s Global Restructuring Group.
Florence Brocklesby, founder of Bellevue Law says of Laura’s appointment:
“We’re really pleased to have another lawyer of Laura’s calibre join our disputes team. She brings a formidable track record of advising on major arbitrations and business-critical disputes for a whole range of clients.
“Laura’s appointment comes at a time when many individuals and businesses are having to contemplate pursuing or defending claims in light of all the changes that we have experienced over recent months. Businesses need to know how to handle their claims against suppliers and clients, or how to respond when claims are threatened.
“We believe that there will be an uptick in disputes, and we will help our clients make the right decisions about how to approach them on a case by case basis. Our clients are in great hands with Laura and our broader disputes team.”
Laura says:
“I’m really looking forward to taking on some of the excellent work that Bellevue Law attracts in the disputes area. The firm’s City quality approach to legal advice, excellent client service ethic, and ability to work in a way that works for me and my family is what attracted me to the firm.”
