Our investigations team has a wealth of experience both in supporting and leading internal and independent workplace investigations, and in assisting clients under investigation by external agencies.
Our experience across various industries includes investigating day to day disciplinary issues and grievances for employers, investigating allegations of serious sexual misconduct and discriminatory workplace cultures and supporting clients through multijurisdictional regulatory and criminal competition, financial services and fraud investigations. We have also carried out investigations for membership organisations dealing with complaints from/against members.
We are available to conduct investigations into concerns relating to ethics and code of conduct violations, fraud, bribery, whistleblowing concerns and workplace misconduct and grievances.
We also have particular expertise in conducting independent workplace investigations into allegations of sexual misconduct. In these very difficult and often emotionally-charged situations, which can also often attract media attention, our involvement provides the employer, complainant and subject of the allegations alike with the reassurance of a thorough and impartial examination of the facts.
We can also advise you on how to mitigate any legal risks arising from the subject matter of the investigation, and this advice will be legally privileged. Where allegations are particularly serious or involve senior management, involving external lawyers ensures that the process is conducted, and seen to be conducted, with impartiality and independence.
We are available to lead investigations ourselves, or can help client in-house legal or HR teams scope and conduct their own investigations.
