Ellie is a senior employment solicitor who supports employees and employers in navigating complex employment law issues across a range of sectors, including technology, professional services, media, retail and financial services.
She has acted for Claimants and Respondents in protracted, complex and high value Tribunal litigation, often involving discrimination and whistleblowing claims. She regularly assists clients (on both sides of the table) with difficult employee relations issues, exits, settlement negotiations and redundancy/restructuring exercises.
She routinely represents (usually through word-of-mouth referrals) senior women facing issues in the workplace relating to sex, pregnancy and maternity discrimination and is known for her empathetic and pragmatic approach in this area.
To assist with the everyday life cycle of a client's business, Ellie deals with all manner of HR-related queries, drafts and reviews contractual and policy documentation and delivers training and workshops.
Ellie was previously Associate Director and Head of Employment Law at Stephenson Law where she focussed on supporting fast growth companies (often in the technology sector) and assisting with senior departures. She has also worked at two major law firms (Weightmans LLP and Winckworth Sherwood LLP) and has over 14 years’ post-qualification experience in employment law.
