Esther Langdon is a highly experienced employment lawyer with over two decades of practice advising clients on all aspects of employment law. She specialises in both contentious and non-contentious matters, with particular expertise in discrimination, whistleblowing, workplace investigations, post-termination restrictions, and reputationally sensitive cases.
Before joining Bellevue Law, Esther was Counsel in the People, Reward and Mobility practice at Dentons, where she advised clients across a range of industries, including financial services and energy.
Over the years, she has worked on numerous major reorganisations, restructurings, and employment issues arising from corporate transactions, including TUPE and business transfers. She also has strong skills in employee competition matters, advising on confidentiality obligations and restrictive covenants, often with a multi-jurisdictional element.
Esther began her legal career at Manches before taking on senior roles at Salans, Doyle Clayton, and Vedder Price, where she played a key role in developing the firms’ employment practices. She is known for her pragmatic approach, technical expertise, and ability to navigate complex employment challenges with clarity and precision. She particularly enjoys liaising with clients and supporting them through legal matters.
Esther holds a degree in Classics from the University of Cambridge and was admitted as a solicitor in 2003. She also delivers training on employment law topics, including diversity and equal opportunities and is a regular contributor to the media on such topics. Esther is consistently ranked in the Legal 500.
