Laura specialises in dispute resolution. Her experience includes advising on disputes in a wide range of sectors, including financial services, energy and construction. She has advised banks, states, multinational corporates, small businesses and individuals on court litigation, arbitration under the rules of the major international arbitral institutions, and alternative dispute resolution.
Laura trained, and qualified in 2007, at leading Magic Circle firm Allen & Overy where she worked for over 13 years, including time in the Hong Kong and Paris offices of the firm. Laura qualified as a Hong Kong solicitor in 2010.
Since leaving Allen & Overy in September 2018, Laura has worked as a consultant, including assisting former High Court judge Sir William Blackburne on his review of complaints by small business customers of RBS’s Global Restructuring Group. She joined Bellevue Law in September 2020.
During the course of her career Laura has advised on a number of pro bono cases at Battersea Legal Advice Centre and the Royal Courts of Justice Citizens Advice Bureau, and has represented litigants in person in permission to appeal applications in the Court of Appeal. She is also a governor at a school in Hertfordshire.
