Workplace Law +
Dispute Resolution

We have one of the largest teams of partner-level employment and partnership lawyers in the UK, advising senior executives, partners, corporate clients and professional service firms on a wide range of workplace legal issues. And our dispute resolution team combines backgrounds in Magic Circle and other leading global law firms with an individually tailored and pragmatic approach.

Our clients – both individuals and business leaders – often seek our support when facing significant and difficult challenges. They tell us not only that they appreciate the strength of our technical and strategic advice, but also that they feel heard, understood and supported by our team.

Since we started our annual survey in 2018, clients have rated us over 9/10 on average every year when asked how likely they are to recommend us to a friend or colleague.

Our Story

Founded in 2014 by ex-City lawyer Florence Brocklesby, who was driven by a wish to work more flexibly around her young children without compromising the quality of her legal practice, Bellevue Law exists to provide a genuine alternative to traditional law firms, creating positive impact for our team, our clients, wider society and the environment.

In the past decade, the firm has gained a reputation as an innovative disruptor law firm, maintaining exacting technical and service standards while attracting a team of talented senior lawyers with our commitment to flexible working, positive culture and ethical business practices.

Bellevue Law has flexible working in its DNA – all of our senior consultant lawyers and most of our employees, including our leadership team, work flexibly.

This, combined with a friendly and supportive culture and shared sense of purpose, has enabled us to build a team of brilliant lawyers – the majority of whom are women with caring responsibilities outside the workplace – with stellar track records to support our clients.

We are equally proud to have been the first UK law firm to be accredited by the Good Business Charter in 2020, and in 2024 were delighted to become a certified B Corp as we celebrated our first decade in business, demonstrating our commitment to balancing profit and purpose and creating positive impact for our clients, our people, our community and the environment.

In the same year, we were named in the Legal 500 directory’s inaugural list of Leading Firms for client satisfaction, placing us in the top 10 percent of all firms surveyed.

Our journey may have taken us from our founder’s garden office to a team of 30 with modern, environmentally sustainable offices in central London, but our purpose, mission and values have remained constant.
