Bellevue Law’s code of ethics is intended to be applied day to day across the firm’s working practices and informs how we work together and with clients and other third parties.
- We will promote the value of business as a force for good and demonstrate social responsibility.
- We will measure and seek to reduce the environmental impact of our activities.
- We will work as a team, encouraging collaboration, support and career development for all.
- We will value openness and honesty and encourage team members to raise any concerns without fear of repercussions.
- We will ensure fair pay and working conditions for all team members.
- We will not tolerate discrimination, harassment or victimisation and will recognise the value of diversity.
- We will conduct business with clients, suppliers and the wider community with integrity, respect
- and in good faith.
- In our marketing we will only make truthful statements, capable of substantiation.
- We will be fair and reasonable in our financial practices towards others, including ensuring prompt payment of suppliers.
- We will not accept favours or bribes.
- We will not tolerate child labour or any form of modern-day slavery in our supply chain.
- We will reserve the right not to work with any client who does not meet our ethical standards, and where there is a question about the ethics of a particular client or its industry, formal approval will be required before accepting instructions to act.
- We will meet our tax obligations and not seek to put in place complex or unusual structures to minimise these.
