We’re pleased to share that Bellevue Law’s Chloe Grant and Sally Hall have been featured in People Management, the CIPD’s leading publication for HR professionals.
In their latest article, they explore the growing trend of employees using artificial intelligence to draft workplace grievances and the legal and practical challenges this creates for employers.
As AI tools become more widely adopted, organisations are increasingly encountering grievances that are longer, more complex and more legalistic in tone. While these tools can help employees structure their concerns more clearly, they also introduce a number of risks. For example, AI-generated content may include inaccurate or irrelevant legal references, exaggerated claims or unclear issues that are difficult for HR to assess.
Chloe and Sally highlight that this shift can place additional strain on HR teams, who must carefully review and investigate each point raised, even where the underlying complaint may lack substance or clarity. The use of public AI tools can also raise data protection concerns if sensitive information is inadvertently shared.
Their article offers practical guidance for employers navigating this emerging issue, including how to approach AI-generated grievances, manage risk and ensure fair and effective processes are maintained.
