Last night, Bellevue Law was delighted to co-host a summer evening of cocktails and canapés for female General Counsel at the beautiful MCR at Lincoln’s Inn.
The event was co-hosted by Florence Brocklesby of Bellevue Law, Serena Wallace-Turner of Radiant Law and Mary Bonsor of Flex Legal, in collaboration with Mishcon de Reya LLP. Bringing together senior women from across the legal profession, the gathering provided an opportunity to connect, catch up and strengthen professional relationships in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
Held twice a year, this much-loved event has a simple purpose: to create a space where senior women in law can enjoy an evening with peers, reconnect with longstanding professional contacts and build new relationships. With no formal agenda, the focus is firmly on conversation, community and shared experiences.
Guests enjoyed margaritas, Pimm’s and mocktails while taking in the surroundings of Lincoln’s Inn on a warm summer evening. The informal atmosphere encouraged engaging discussions, laughter and the opportunity to forge new connections across industries and organisations.
What makes these events particularly special is the strong sense of community they foster. Many attendees have known one another for years, having crossed paths throughout their careers, worked together as colleagues, or shared similar professional journeys. Others were meeting for the first time, demonstrating the ongoing value of creating spaces where women can expand their networks and support one another.
Reflecting on the evening, it was clear that the success of the event lay not only in the impressive calibre of attendees, but also in the warmth, generosity and openness that characterised conversations throughout the room.
