Supporting Neurodivergent Employees: Awareness Is Rising – But Training Still Lags Behind

Bellevue Law’s Senior Consultant, Ann Robson, has been featured in Facilitate Magazine and quoted by International Employment Lawyer in coverage of new ACAS findings highlighting a critical gap in workplace support for neurodivergent employees.

The research shows that although organisations are increasingly aware of the importance of neuroinclusive practices, many managers remain under‑trained and uncertain about how to provide appropriate support. This lack of confidence can leave neurodivergent employees without the adjustments or understanding they need to thrive.

In her comment for Facilitate Magazine, Ann emphasised the importance of practical, well‑communicated policies coupled with manager training that empowers teams to translate good intentions into meaningful action. She notes that simply having a policy in place is not enough, employers must ensure managers understand how to implement adjustments consistently, compassionately, and in line with legal obligations.

Ann’s inclusion in both publications underscores Bellevue Law’s growing reputation for specialist insight into neurodiversity, equality, and workplace wellbeing.
As more organisations seek guidance on creating truly inclusive cultures, this conversation is both timely and necessary.
