Bellevue Law is a young and dynamic Chambers and Legal 500 ranked boutique firm, with a team of 19 senior consultant lawyers – including 15 employment specialists - with backgrounds in leading international law firms and specialising in employment law, litigation, investigations, regulation and private client work. We were highly commended in the ‘Boutique Law Firm of the Year’ category at the 2022 Lawyer Awards and shortlisted in the same category in the British Legal Awards 2022.
"Bellevue Law represents an extremely compelling value proposition: they are a team of highly trained lawyers who deliver all that the Magic Circle does in terms of expertise, judgement, client handling skills but at a fraction of the cost. Their success is richly deserved."- Legal 500 2022

Our culture
Bellevue Law was founded 10 years ago with a commitment to completely flexible working at its heart. Our senior lawyers have no chargeable targets and are free to work when and where they choose, managing their client commitments alongside their other obligations, without sacrificing the quality of that work.
Our experience is that flexibility has allowed us to attract and retain exceptional people, which in turn makes for great work and happy clients. Much of our work comes from referrals, and clients have rated us at 9.5/10 or above on average when asked how likely they are to recommend us to a friend or colleague in each of our past six annual surveys.
"An enviable balance of maintaining a professional career and working for some fantastic clients as part of a fabulous team, whilst being able to do the school run, take the dog for a walk and enjoy life outside work!"
We have a friendly and inclusive culture, with regular social and training events and a supportive ethos which differentiates us from other consulting firms.
The firm is based on Northcote Road in Wandsworth, but lawyers are also free to work from home or from serviced offices in central London.
We are committed to ethical business practices, being the first UK law firm to be accredited by the Good Business Charter, and having submitted an application to become a B Corp and our Founder, Florence Brocklesby, was shortlisted in the Women and Diversity in Law Awards 2023.
Our successful Employment team is very busy, and we are looking for another senior employment lawyer to join us.
We act for both employers and senior executives, and would be particularly keen to hear from lawyers who would like to support our fast-growing employer practice, servicing a range of clients including multinationals, professional services firms and fast-growth businesses.
The successful candidate will have a background in a leading practice and/or in-house, and great technical abilities, client care and ethical standards and interpersonal skills. You will be trusted as an advisor and capable of developing relationships with, and attracting work from, your clients.
However, we do not require a following, as we provide our lawyers with both access to an existing client base and bespoke business development support to build their own practices.
All of our lawyers have made a successful transition from larger firms to our more entrepreneurial environment, so we can say with confidence born of experience that excellent lawyers will win work using our model. We find that lawyers who join us are often surprised at how quickly they build a flourishing practice, and would be happy to put you in touch with one of our several lawyers who has made the move for a confidential chat.
"Although self-employed you are not on your own … you have support and a good flow of work through the firm and from other consultants."
If this might be the right move for you, please contact our founder, Florence Brocklesby at [email protected] or on 020 3432 2110 for a confidential discussion.
We are committed to equality and diversity in both our workplace and our recruitment process.
