Workplace law and commercial disputes specialist Bellevue Law has announced the appointment of Rachel O’Connell as a Senior Consultant, strengthening the firm’s capability in complex employment litigation and sensitive workplace investigations.
Rachel’s appointment is Bellevue’s third senior appointment of 2026. Further growth is planned, to meet demand for workplace law experts due to the Employment Rights Act and Bellevue’s expansion of its Commercial Disputes team.
Rachel brings over 28 years’ experience in employment law and is widely recognised as a leading expert in advising both employers and senior executives on complex and often highly sensitive matters. Her appointment reinforces Bellevue Law’s commitment to delivering strategic, litigation-ready advice across the full spectrum of workplace law.
Rachel’s expertise spans discrimination, whistleblowing, equal pay, unfair and wrongful dismissal, and High Court employment-related disputes. She has an excellent track record in the Employment Tribunal, bringing and defending high-value claims, and has advised numerous C-suite leaders and equity partners on potential claims and negotiated exits. She has also represented many women in serious sexual harassment cases, securing significant settlements, including several in excess of £1 million.
Alongside her litigation practice, Rachel advises employers on a wide range of pre-litigation, employment and misconduct matters. She has extensive experience conducting independent workplace investigations.
Rachel has previously worked at a major City firm and at a boutique employment practice, most recently as a Partner at Farore Law.
Commenting on the appointment, Bellevue Law’s founder Florence Brocklesby said: “Rachel’s depth of experience in high-value discrimination and whistleblowing claims, combined with her ability to handle the most sensitive workplace issues with empathy and strategic clarity, makes her an exceptional addition to Bellevue Law. As employers and senior executives navigate increasingly complex cultural, regulatory and reputational risks, Rachel’s expertise will further strengthen our market-leading workplace law offering.”
Rachel O’Connell added: I am delighted to join Bellevue and the team of enthusiastic, friendly and highly experienced lawyers. I look forward to contributing to its growth and upward trajectory in the field of workplace law and supporting our clients as they navigate these challenging times.
