Catherine McBride

Catherine is a Commercial Disputes Lawyer, with over 25 years’ experience advising clients in respect of litigation, investigations, and regulatory matters.

She is recognised for delivering practical and commercially focused advice to a broad range of clients including, financial institutions, corporates individuals, PE firms, and professional services firms.

Her practice includes, regulatory and law enforcement matters before a full spectrum of regulators and government authorities; complex and cross-border litigation in connection with contract claims, shareholder disputes, mis-selling of financial instruments, misrepresentation, negligence and fraud; conduct and employment related matters; domestic and cross- border regulatory and internal investigations and risk management.

Catherine previously worked in the litigation departments of Linklaters and Latham & Watkins, where she was a partner in the Litigation & Trial department in the Hong Kong and London offices, a member of the White-Collar Defence & Investigations Practice and the firm’s industry focussed Financial Institutions Group. She also benefits from extensive in-house experience gained at E&Y, KPMG, Swiss Re, as Head of Litigation for APAC at Deutsche Bank, and as interim GC and Head of Litigation at Royal Bank of Canada.

She was awarded “Best in practice – Litigation” by the Women In Business Awards Asia for her work managing complex cross-border disputes and contentious regulatory matters, as well as her wider efforts to promote young female talent in the legal industry.
