Expertise
Over her 25-year career, Lianne has developed a broad domestic and international disputes practice with in-depth expertise in complex commercial, financial and competition matters across a range of sectors. She has considerable experience acting in multi-party and group claims including large-scale, often challenging, financial services disputes.
Lianne is highly experienced in the use of litigation funding and insurance products.
Clients include UK and international clients with a particular focus on Spain and Latin America. Lianne acts for clients in many sectors and in businesses from founder-led start-ups and SMEs to blue chip corporations, financial institutions, private equity and hedge fund investors and third-party funders.
Prior to joining Bellevue as a Senior Consultant, Lianne was the Managing Partner and Head of Commercial Disputes at a leading international boutique litigation firm. Lianne is also an accredited Psychosynthesis Leadership Coach, working with coaching clients through times of personal and/or professional transition and crisis.
Strategic Litigation Consultancy
Lianne is known for her strategic litigation and people skills, including her ability to see the bigger picture and to have difficult conversations. She is happy to work alongside existing case teams, whether to bring an additional strategic perspective, or to assist with relationship management during particularly challenging moments in the life cycle of any dispute.
Commercial Disputes
Advises on a wide range of commercial disputes including insolvency, intellectual property, fraud, shareholder (including unfair prejudice/minority shareholder claims and FSMA s90/90A), breach of warranty, general contract and tort and asset recovery and enforcement.
Financial Services and Banking
Advises on shareholder disputes, including warranty claims; bondholder disputes; claims arising out of loan, structured finance and derivatives transactions and cases involving large scale fraud and mis-selling of investments.
Antitrust/Competition
Expertise in complex commercial and competition matters across a range of sectors with experience acting in multi-party and group claims before the High Court of England & Wales and the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
Extensive experience working with law firms in other jurisdictions to put together collective action claims to be brought before the local courts.

Lianne is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA) where she has previously held officer positions on the Law Firm Management Committee Advisory Board and the Class Actions Committee.
Lianne also recently sat on the Steering Committee for the Cambridge Forum on European Collective Redress.
