Rachel is a specialist employment lawyer who advises employers on all UK HR-related matters, combining legal expertise with a practical, commercial mindset.
Rachel advises clients across a wide range of sectors on their complex HR issues, including grievances, disciplinaries and employment litigation as well as providing employee relations services.
She regularly advises on large-scale redundancy and restructuring programmes, supporting in-house teams with guidance, training and documentation tailored to the business context. Rachel has also advised on discrimination claims, including high-value tribunal matters involving sex, race and disability.
Rachel has particular expertise in supporting large corporations to navigate legal change, helping them to ensure compliance with new laws, and to launch major HR policies and initiatives – including drafting policies, guidance and practical training for HR teams and managers.
Alongside day-to-day advisory work, Rachel is an experienced external investigator, with a strong track record of handling sensitive internal matters with independence and care. She has led complex investigations involving multiple individuals and significant volumes of documentation, producing clear and balanced findings and reporting out to senior leadership teams and boards.
Rachel has senior in-house experience, including leading the international employment law function at NBC Universal, overseeing work across the organisation’s 37 jurisdictions. She has also worked in-house for an investment bank and a global tech business. Earlier in her career, she practiced at major law firms Eversheds Sutherland and McDermott Will & Emery.
